Final words from author about the problem [Update]

AlexCarvalho asked 5 years ago

Greetings once again,

Based on recently asked questions like input mismatch, output mismatch and problem description error, I decided to create this topic 6 days ago (01/10/2019): https://www.urionlinejudge.com.br/judge/en/questions/view/2925/5864 which explains more about this issue in a simplified way.

I sent a fix to URI Online Judge administration and didn't get such an answer until today (01/16/2019), so I decided to open this topic to explain more about the issue in general. Especially because on the previous one, the sentences "the number 1 doesn't repeat twice as expected" + "As it said, for example, the input 11 gives 836 and input 2 gives 1 as output." may cause some misunderstandings as they are contrary to each other. The combo of sentences didn't fit efficient enough.

With this in mind and as it's not possible to edit and/or delete closed topics (that was my first time making a topic on this forum, so I didn't knew that), I decided to make this one but this will have a better explanation than the other one. This will be a completed and longer version of it and as long as I didn't receive any answers on my e-mail about the fix sent to administrators, don't expect this problem to be fixed, so this sentence "When this issue gets solved. This post will be deleted." forget it. But this issue isn't so critical as it seems...

Follow the replies below which will describe more the topic.

What was really missing were sentences in the problem statement clarifying more about it. The problem has already been submitted on my part in C/C ++ and Java and I believe that it can works for other languages as well.

[EDIT 02/22/2019] Problem description was finally updated. Now, the problem statement explains everything said here.

    See you next time!
